Cross Party Group on Towns and Town Centres – A new approach to local

March 18 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

At the crossover point in our CPG calendar, our next meeting presents a timely opportunity to take stock and discuss, “how we shape a new approach to local”.

Participants will hear and can later discuss, an update on how far Scotland has come on its journey to revitalise our towns and embrace localism. The session will conclude with a forward look to the landscape in 2024 – 25, outlining the opportunities that this brings.

Guest speakers include Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP), Chief Officer, Kimberley Guthrie; STP Board Member, Mhairi Donaghy, Associate Director – Place, Housing & Economic Investment at Scottish Futures Trust; and David Cowan, Head of the Regeneration Unit, Scottish Government

This meeting will pave the way for subsequent Cross Party Group meetings focussed on a range of delivery models and examples in towns and places across Scotland.
