Town Centre Action Plan Review Series – Heritage and Tourism

24 March, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

STP’s 2021 – 2022 CPD events are centred on the Town Centre Action Plan Review recommendations and in this fifth event in the series, we will focus on the themes of Heritage & Tourism.

We will be joined by Historic Environment Scotland and Visit Scotland to discuss the impact of heritage and tourism on our towns and places. The session will provide context, as well as details of existing work and nationwide initiatives that town and place stakeholders can engage with. We will also touch upon the Scotland Loves Local campaign and gift card, its impact on local economies and future ambitions for the project.

Learn and contribute with guest speakers’ insights and tangible takeaways. This session aims to help towns and place stakeholders understand the importance of heritage and tourism from a place perspective, as well as the nationwide initiatives they can engage with.
