LoyalFree Ltd and Solomon Trading Ltd are thrilled to announce their merger, forming a new brand that will trade under the name “Vicinity.” This exciting development brings together two industry-leading companies, combining LoyalFree’s renowned service excellence with Solomon’s deep data and technical expertise.
The companies already share many customers and cater to over 100 place management organisations across the UK and North America; including UK Business Improvement Districts, Councils, and property managers.
The combined business will offer a comprehensive set of solutions designed to help place makers manage their data, capture their value, promote their places, build loyal communities and engage stakeholders.
Henry Jinman, assumes the role of CEO of Vicinity, alongside Simon Zimmerman as Chief Product Officer and Nathan Smith as Chief Technical Officer. Vicinity boasts a formidable team with a wealth of experience in software businesses and the place management sector.
Jinman explained the rationale behind the merger, stating, “LoyalFree and Solomon are a natural fit. We share customers, corresponding skill sets but most importantly a passion for innovation. We want people to love where they live, eat out regularly, shop on our high streets, walk, move, seek, explore and ultimately support local businesses.’
Zimmerman, also commented on the merger, stating, “We have a bold product vision that will propel the entire industry forward. By combining Solomon’s data with LoyalFree’s promotion channels, we are able to create exciting new solutions like white-labelled apps, business engagement tools, and business membership and reward schemes.”
The combined business is already creating apps for many places across the UK including Royal Leamington Spa, Harley Street, Ulverston, Hereford and Marble Arch.
Stephanie Kerr, Executive Director, BID Leamington commented “We are pleased to support this exciting merger that will bring two well known service providers together for the benefit of our places. We have been working with Vicinity to build a locally branded App for Leamington Spa that will launch very soon. The ‘Love Leam’ App leverages the experience and expertise that was built up by Loyal Free, to deliver something unique and helpful to our town. At a time when places are very challenged, forming collaborations and partnerships is essential so we wish them well as their offer evolves”.
Software investors, Equable Partners are backing Vicinity with strong technical expertise and strategic support. This strengthens Vicinity’s potential to bring innovative technologies and top-tier solutions to the place management sector.
