Malcolm Fraser on town centre living, net zero and bringing people back into town centres

Leading architect Malcolm Fraser – author of the Scottish Government’s 2014 National Review of Town Centres – was among 200 people who took part in The Town Centre Living and Investment Roadshow held in early 2024.

After taking part in discussions during the opening event of the series, held in Perth, he said: “If we really mean about net zero, we need to be bringing people back into our town centres, reusing the shops that remain, reimagining other spaces , getting all sorts of stuff going on which brings these places alive and creates a vital, vibrant and forward-looking place.”
